Patricia Lemus has over a 35 year track record of professional success in human services within the King County Department of Community and Human Services. Ms. Lemus is a proven leader experienced in managing people, programs, contracts and multi-faceted operations within complex political and funding systems. She is a community oriented leader dedicated to improving access to health, employment, education and human services for Veterans, the low-income and the underserved. She is a resourceful and flexible manager, expert in communications, advocacy, program and community development, fiscal management and negotiations. She is proficient in forging collaborative solutions with cities, school districts, public agencies, community organizations and businesses. She has a great deal to offer organizations that have the mission to improve the well-being of communities and people. She has a demonstrated capacity to learn quickly and manage effectively.
Ms. Lemus is a Latina, born in Mexico City and immigrated to the United States as a young girl. She is bi-lingual and her childhood experiences in East Los Angeles inspired her to succeed and to give back to a community of people who lacked access to institutions of higher education, and well-paid jobs.
